Terms of Service
Effective September 24, 2026
Agreement
By creating an account or using Memento, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
Your account
You must be at least 13 years old. Keep your password secure and give accurate sign-up information. You are responsible for activity under your account.
Your content
You own the documents, images and notes you save. You give us permission only to process them as needed to run Memento for you, for example sending page images to Google's Gemini service so Memento can read them. Only save content you have the right to keep.
Details Memento fills in
Details Memento reads from your documents can be wrong or incomplete. Always check important information such as amounts, dates and ID numbers against the original document. Memento is not legal, financial or medical advice.
Reminders and backups
We work hard to deliver reminders and backups reliably, but your device settings, battery optimisation or network conditions can delay or prevent them. Keep your own copies of anything critical.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse Memento: no attempts to break its security, overload its services, reverse engineer it to abuse its document-reading features, or use it for anything illegal.
The service
Memento is provided "as is". Features may change, and the service may occasionally be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, HM Dev Studio is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for loss of data you did not back up.
Ending your use
You can stop using Memento and delete your account at any time. We may suspend accounts that break these Terms.
Changes
We may update these Terms. We will change the effective date and let you know about important changes. Continuing to use Memento means you accept the updated Terms.
