How to use it
- Photograph the front. Lay the card on a plain surface that contrasts with it (a dark table for a light card) and shoot from straight above, with no glare.
- Line up the corners. The tool finds the card's edges; if a corner is off, drag it onto the card's corner. The straightened card appears below.
- Add the back. Switch to Back and do the same. Skip it if you only need the front.
- Protect and download. Add a watermark saying what the copy is for, black out anything the other side doesn't need, then download the PDF and print at 100%.
For the best result
- Always watermark copies. "For rental application only, 7 Oct 2026" makes a copy hard to reuse for anything else.
- Share only what's needed. Hide parts you don't have to show, such as a card number, when the receiver doesn't need it.
- Avoid glare. Tilt the card away from lamps and windows so the shine doesn't hide details.
- Real size means real size. ID cards and driving licences are 85.6 × 54 mm; printing at 100% keeps them that size.
Questions
How do I copy both sides of an ID card on one page?
Take a photo of the front and the back, add them here, and download the PDF. Both sides are straightened and placed on one A4 or Letter page at real size, ready to print or attach to an application.
Will it print at the card's real size?
Yes, if you print at 100% ("actual size"). ID cards and driving licences use the standard 85.6 × 54 mm size; passport photo pages are 125 × 88 mm, and you can enter any other size.
Why add a watermark to an ID copy?
A copy that says what it's for and the date ("For bank account opening only, 7 Oct 2026") is much harder to misuse for something else, such as identity fraud.
Can I hide my ID number or other details?
Yes. Tap Hide parts and drag over anything you want to black out. Only hide what the receiver doesn't need; some organisations require the full copy.
What if the edges aren't found?
Drag the four corner dots onto the card's corners by hand. Photographing the card on a surface that contrasts with it helps automatic detection.
Is my ID uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens inside your browser. Your ID never reaches our servers or anyone else's.
